To get started, I wanted to replicate a departure screen for the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-17.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-17-958x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6586\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Figure 25 &#8211; Stock Vector of an Airport Departure Screen. I made sure I made a quick and clear airport departure screen using the correct aspect ratio before I imported it into Substance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-7.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-7-1024x585.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7441\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I imported the image and projected it onto the right polygon and adjust the tiling a little to get the result I was hoping for (Sunderland NextGen, 2019).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-95.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-95.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6919\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From here, it was only a matter of applying the textures into Maya  before importing them in Unreal. I imported them onto the other sign variations to give a bit of character to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-111.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-111.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6973\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.1460176991150441;width:499px;height:auto\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-96.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-96.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6921\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next up were placing the sign around the airport section of the environment like you would typically see when in the terminal lounge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-42.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-42.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7942\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-41.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elebenstead.2021.hulldesign.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-41-1024x472.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7941\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lighting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also had to consider how the lighting would react to the landscape, starting with the platform area.
