During the Friday lecture and subsequent lab session, we’ve been coming up with an idea for a potential group project that we could develop over the module and we each listed our strengths during the course so far. Me and Seb have been brainstorming some ideas and two of them have come to mind fairly quickly. We also had a potential new member join us as well to help fulfill the potential that we’ve hope to achieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My idea was making a game either within Unreal Engine or Unity and I created a mindmap to show what assets we will need for this type of project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking back at the idea realistically and I thought to myself that despite all three of us being game designers, none of us could actually code or never loved doing it to begin with. So I reconsidered the thought and leaned more towards Seb’s option, which is the make a business that designs twitch overlays and I thought about what goes into an overlay and how it functions. This is what I came up with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hopefully the latter choice will be a more favorable option as I am a pretty good graphic designer that I do as a hobby and not professionally. I could adapt those skills to good use here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twitch Overlays<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The audience for this will be centered around content creators and youtubers interested in using one of our overlays in their Twitch streams with full credit. We haven’t figured out the individual roles that each member will undertake. The purpose of this is to provide streamers new and old with an alternative way to purchase our overlays in the event that they feel like changing their style up a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We plan to make it collaborative so that each member can put some of their material in. How we might do that is dependent on what approach we use. The website itself will comprise of many different elements. These are considered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
