The post’s primary focus is on the third set of rendered assets modelled and textured in Maya and Substance Painter respectively. This will highlight two more of the assets – The Flatscreen TV and the Coffee Cup.
Flatscreen TV

Here is the finished render of the TV asset n the Arnold Renderer. I spent a little bit more time on this one due to the addition of light blockers above and below the asset. I wanted them to include the shadowy diagonal lines to tell a story about how this TV is mounted to a room in the corner of a bar or a pub.

I probably have used this technique already, but I wanted to show how well this TV reflected the light that emit from behind the camera. You can see where the shadows start to enter, although it is faint to see. This was achieved by placing an area light to the left of the TV, ensuring it was facing the asset to give it this look.
Coffee Cup

I admit, I was a little tempting to perfect the Key with a Far away Softbox, but you can just about to notice the shadow frontline towards the edge of the cup as it dims more to let hard shadows in. There are also hard shadows acting as its own where the light bounces off of the plinth.

Another attempt at a high quality split technique, but this time I improved on how to position it just right. I aimed it in the same direction as last time to show how well the light reflects off of the left side of the cup as all of the darkness is let out.
